The Mission of the Saint Maria Goretti Ushers is to assist the assembly in worship, take collections, & give directions and aid. Ushers are stewards of the:
people who come to worship God;
worship space; and
offerings that God’s people make to support St. Maria Goretti Parish.
Ushers serve St. Maria Goretti parishioners and guests at Mass through greeting, assisting with seating, identifying and assisting those who desire to have the Eucharist brought to them in the pews, and taking up the collection. Ushers are familiar with the Mass routine and are responsible for handling various situations that may occur.
Greeters arrive about 20 minutes before Mass begins and station themselves at the entrances of the Church. They welcome all those who enter with a warm welcome and smile. They want people to feel at home and know this is their church.
Please consider how giving of your talents will help strengthen and guide our community.
How to join us: If you have a desire to meet and greet others who come to worship at St. Maria Goretti, and to be a steward of the congregation, then become a Greeter and/or Usher. Download the Ministry Ushers/Greeters Brochure to complete the form and join.
