  The goals of our Catholic Faith Formation at St. Maria Goretti are to:
  bring about in our children a deeper knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and a growing faith in him
  prepare children of all ages to receive the sacraments;
  prepare non-baptized children and youth to be received into the church;
  nourish the faith journey of our youth and integrate them into active parish life;
  enable parents to be the most influential agents of catechesis for their children;
  provide family catechesis as an option for parishioners in their faith formation; and,
  make available adult enrichment processes to parishioners who seek to understand more about their Catholic faith.

  Registration and Fee Schedule
  Required Documents: (Baptismal, First Reconciliation, First Communion Certificate). ONLY children of registered parishioners will be accepted into the upcoming CFF year. Please call the office (916) 647-4538 for additional information.

  REMINDER: Catholic Faith Formation classes are designed for continuing education of the Catholic Faith. This means if your children received their First Communion this year and do not attend Level 3 the following year, then when the time comes for them to receive Confirmation, the child will be placed back where they left off at Level 3. Additional Information
- Sacramental Preparation for First Eucharist
  Preparation for the Sacrament of First Eucharist is a two-year program for school aged children. The children receive First Eucharist after preparation in our Catechetical program, usually in Second grade.
  
  Pre-Communion: Usually in First grade
  
  First Eucharist: Usually, Child is in the Second grade
  
  Continuing Faith Formation Program: Grades 3 – 6.
  
  Sacrament of Confirmation
  Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year program during the Junior High grade level. Students,
  who are living their faith and wish to be confirmed, need to apply and register for this program at the beginning of their
  7th grade year.
  
  Pre-Confirmation: Usually in 7th grade level
  
  Confirmation: Student is in the 8th grade level
  
  If you are beyond the regular grade level as stated above (First Eucharist and Confirmation), There are classes for RCIA-adapted for children on Wednesdays.
