The Sacrament of Healing in the Catholic Church, is formerly called Extreme Unction, The Last Rites, or The Anointing.  This sacrament is for the elderly, seriously ill, or those scheduled for surgery. The rite of Healing is offered by special appointment with the Pastor.

The special grace of the Sacrament of Healing has as its effects: 

• uniting of the sick person to the passion of Christ, for his own good and that of the whole Church
• strengthening, peace, and courage to endure in a Christian manner the sufferings of illness or old age.
